Over 70 teams participated in the 19th edition of the Air India World Tourism quiz, held on Saturday.Of the five teams which qualified for the finals, a team from The Hindu, comprising Srinivasan Ramani and V.V. Ramanan, won the first place. A team from Dua Associates, comprising Shiva Kumar and Kavya Vivek, was placed at second, and a team from Ford Motors, with K. Sridharan and Prashant Sampath, won the third prize. The first, second and third prizes for the winning teams were two round-trip tickets to New York, London and Dubai respectively. The prizes also include a 2-night and 3-day stay, courtesy the Global Conference Management Group (GCMG).Priamvada Viswanathan, principal chief commercial manager, Southern Railway, conducted the quiz. Hosted by the GCMG to mark the World Tourism Day, the quiz was aimed at creating awareness about eco-tourism and sustainable travel among corporates in India.
