If sources are to be believed, this will be a coup of sorts. The big news is that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in for Vijay’s next movie. We had earlier reported that Vijay would be doing a film with Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame, tentatively titled Thalapathy 64.The grapevine has it that Vijay will portray a ruthless gangster in it and interestingly, Sethupathi will also don a role with negative shades like in his earlier blockbuster Vikram Vedha.Malavika Mohanan of Beyond The Clouds fame who did a small role in Rajini’s Petta has been roped in as Vijay’s pair, though Kiara Advani had been the front-runner in this. Anirudh Ravichander, who scored for Vijay in Kaththi, is once again collaborating with him and Sathyan Sooryan will be cranking the camera. Xavier Britto bankrolls this movie. The shoot is expected to start on October 3 and VSP is expected to join the shoot by December. While Vijay is all set for the release of his highly anticipated flick Bigil, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting the release of his Telugu film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Sanga Thamizhan.
