Actor Suriya and KV Anand were felicitated by Tamil Nadu Cauvery Delta Farmers Association for showcasing the importance of agriculture and capturing the plight of the farmers in their latest outing Kaappaan.The film addressed many social issues and one of the core ones is that of farmers. Suriya himself is a farmer in the film and his character celebrates farmers and their profession. P.R. Pandian and important members of the Tamil Nadu Cauvery Delta Farmers Association met Suriya and K.V. Anand and felicitated them with green shawls. Pandian stated that many movies had come out speaking about farmers, but Kaappaan has loudly voiced out the predicaments of farmers and exposed the conspiracies of big corporates. The farmers thanked the team Kaappaan for their benevolent effort.
